Designing Your Solar Panel System
Do you need help with designing and building your solar panel system in Las Vegas, NV? Come to Enlyten Energy for help!
During your free initial consultation, we will review your current power usage and costs, then we will create a system designed to provide 100% of your power needs at a cost that is about the same as your current monthly electric bill.
Here are a few factors we will consider with you when designing your solar panel system:
How Much Energy Do you Need?
The amount of solar panels you will need installed largely depends on your energy use, the amount of sunlight available, and the quality and efficiency of the equipment. We can determine your energy use by looking at your electric bills over the last year. It helps us to see the peaks and valleys of your energy use over an entire year. We will also consider your household size, the hours you are in your home, and if there are some inexpensive things we can do to boost your home's efficiency, such as upgrading lightbulbs, some appliances, and possibly even windows. We will also want to plan for future changes in household size, increases in technology use, and amount of time at home, especially if these future changes may increase your energy consumption.
Roof Placement and Other Factors
We will also consider your roof placement and other factors, including: cloud cover, sun intensity, altitude, latitude, relative humidity, heat build-up, tree placement, neighboring buildings or hills that would cast shadows, and pollution. The average solar system design in the US takes up about 300-400 square feet in a rectangular shape and needs at least 4 hours of direct sunlight every day. We will also consider how much weight your roof can hold. The biggest factor for viability is the space available; solar panels need a large, flat or angled space without dormers, chimneys or other interruptions. Panels are most efficient when placed on a south-facing roof, in a contiguous space rather than spread out. Besides a free initial assessment, a great way to determine if your roof is viable is to look at aerial photos of your home, such as Google Maps or other satellite photos.
Equipment Efficiency
At Enlyten, we use premium, tier 1 equipment from manufacturers like LG, Hanwha and Solar Edge. And we warranty not just the equipment itself, but also the amount of power your system will produce for each and every year, up to 25 years. If there is a problem, we will fix it for free, AND we will reimburse you for any shortfall in your power production. Our unique guarantee gives you peace of mind and the confidence to move forward with your solar panel system design and installation.
